Why is my house too hot?

Updated 29 September 2026

Short answer: check the target temperature, whether a boost has been left on, and where the room sensor sits.

If the heat pump seems to run all the time and the house is too warm, the target may simply be set too high. Next, check no boost is still running. Then check the sensor isn't somewhere that reads cold, like a draughty hall, which makes it keep heating the rest of the house.

In Snugdays: Now shows the target, any running boost and the time it ends, with Stop boost on the same card.
